Helen Allan - Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Dominos

Helen has nearly 30 years’ food industry experience, starting out in manufacturing. For the last nine years, Helen has been responsible for food safety for one of the largest pizza brands in the world. Allergens pose one of the biggest food safety risks for Domino’s and dominates a lot of the work her and her team do.

 

 

Zoë Shuttlewood - Director - Product Integrity and Risk Management, McCormick & Co

Zoe is a food safety professional with over 20 years' experience in factory quality assurance, food safety management systems and supplier quality. Joining McCormick in 2011, Zoe is a subject matter expert within their Global Scientific and Regulatory Affairs team, focusing on risk sciences which includes allergen risk and mitigation throughout the supply chain.

Barbara Hirst - Senior Food Safety and Quality Consultant

Barbara is widely recognised as an expert in allergen management. With an extensive analytical background, she uses her 20+ years' experience of working with food manufacturers to give advice on how to plan and carry out cleaning validation studies. 

 

 

Carl Byrne - Scientist

Carl has over 15 years of experience in food allergen testing using ELISA and PCR techniques. His skills and knowledge enable him to advise food manufacturers on appropriate testing methodology and results interpretation.

 

 

Leyla Collins - Food Safety and Quality Consultant

Leyla has 11 years' experience of allergen testing and cleaning validation studies. Combined with her knowledge of food manufacturing environments, Leyla can make recommendations for appropriate sampling, results interpretation and suitable next steps.
