"RSSL provided so much support and a payment plan I could afford, as well as access to many tutors who were always happy to answer my questions.”
Gurpreet Kaur Birch | Senior QMS Manager & QP | RelonChem
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to be mentored and coached by several people who were QPS and know just how much their guidance helped me learn and grow as a professional. So, I think this has always been the motivation behind my decision to become a QP myself.
My experience throughout RSSL's training programme has been thoroughly enjoyable. The option to mix virtual and in-person training sessions meant I could easily fit the course around work and family. When it came to the viva, this was a completely new challenge for me but RSSL’s tutors gave me the direction I needed – both in terms of developing a revision plan and organising viva mocks to put everything into practice.
I really do think that getting as much verbal practice as possible before your viva is essential. Muscle memory for speaking is key – even training my young quality team on various compliance issues was an exercise in revision!
There’s also great deal of emotional support available outside the classroom, which is important to recognise because this can be a stressful journey. So, for anyone who is apprehensive or has never taken a viva before – please don’t worry.
One tip I would like to share is ensure you fill out your application as soon as you complete each module when it is fresh in your head, as it’s much easier to link practical experience.
Other than that, I can honestly say I am over the moon to now be a Qualified Person and see it as the biggest professional achievement of my career so far.
