“This is a fantastic end to an incredibly busy year. We have many achievements to be proud of, but those that particularly stand out include bringing exciting vegan products to market, development and support for drugs used in various medical treatments and detecting allergens in food products to safeguard consumer safety.
“It is also hugely rewarding to be recognised for the work we carry out in the wider community, both in terms of our science-based initiatives with schools and colleges, as well as our support of local charities. We look forward to an equally exciting 2020 and the opportunity to further enhance lives through science,” said Jacinta George, managing director at RSSL.
The scientific consultancy was judged a “truly worthy winner” and beat a strong field of IT and life sciences competitors to take home the award. They successfully demonstrated the required level of excellence against a comprehensive list of criteria and secured a glowing report in every area.
RSSL’s “constant innovation and application of better solutions to meet the changing needs of new and existing markets,” along with its impressive contribution to the local community and talent management programme were highlighted by the independent panel of judges.
This year marked the 25th anniversary of the highly-respected Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards. The presentation evening took place at the Reading FC Conference Centre at the Madejski Stadium, where over 250 people joined TV presenter, Vernon Kay, to celebrate the region’s business success and this award for ‘Business of The Year’ was sponsored by Gateley Legal.
